Responsibilities
Perform detailed cost and financial analyses
Develop and interpret cost accounting information and make recommendations
on efficient utilization of resources
Timely preparation of financial and management accounts reports.
Ensure compliance with the international accounting standards .
Review financial and internal control measures to meet management objectives.
Review management practices and recommend changes to enhance operating
efficiencies.
Preparation of annual, corporate budget.
Ensure efficient implementation of the budget.
Ensure effective Stock Management.
Effective management of import/export accounts and ensuring timely payment (
invoices.
Ensure tax compliance as required by the regulations in force.
Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions.
Facilitate company Audit Exercise.
Manage forex transactions.
Manage and guide the staff in the department
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of commerce degree in accounting or Finance.
Masters degree in business will be an added advantage.
Holder of CPA(K) or ACCA with at least 5 years work experience in a busy
commercial environment 3 of which must be in a senior management position.
Must be a registered member of ICPAK.
Knowledge. Skills. and Abilities
Knowledge in internal control systems and procedures
Skill in the use of personal computers and related financial and statistical software
products
Skill in preparing management reports on a timely basis.
Excellent interpersonal skills, good business acumen, good leadership skills with
ability to motivate staff and a team player.
